puked! It's being fertilized and the smell was so so bad! I can't even describe it! It was a mix of poop and rot! I don't know how else to say it. I was not going to go that way to work today but I forgot and when I passed that field? I gaged and had to swallow a little something something! When I drove home, I went the long way to avoid the field, but wouldn't you know it? They are fertilizing fields along that road! And to top it off, there is a light breeze bringing it right to my house! I have 7 candles burning right now, yep that's right, 7! Don't worry Dad, I have my eye 
on them! They wont go anywhere!Both of these fields have now been plowed under and over?
And are getting the stink treatment.
Wow Kris, I smelled that pucky smell too when I got home tonight!!! And we must live at least ten miles apart. I think all the farmers get together and plot when they can stink out the country dwellers like us!
ReplyDeleteIt's the smell of money - at least that's what the farmers say. Remember when we used to work in fish processing plants? The smell never bothered us, but everyone else thought it was terrible. When I spent that one summer in Gering, Nebraska there was a slaughter yard near our house. It stunk bad on a hot summer day. And in Joplin, MO they have a dogfood factory that used to get pretty potent.

Just wait until you have to drive down the road for a while behind one of those "honey buckets"... yeck! :-) My husband always takes a real deep breath in and says, "Mmmm, reminds me of home growing up on the farm." ...as we are all rolling up the windows and gagging!!
