I know, I know! You all probably think that I have gone crazy! You're wondering " Why is she showing us a picture of dirt?" This is more then just dirt, well, yes, it is just dirt! but it's a 4 foot by about 5 inchs deep trench that my dog dug! She loves to go after gofers and digs up their trails. The problem with this is, dogs don't know how to spit! So when she comes into the house I can hear her teeth grinding with all the sand in her mouth. It makes my skin crawl! The day she did this, she came in and drank a bowl of water, and came to me for some ( she thinks, as she is riding me of gofers!) well deserved petting. Without any warning, she bends her head and upchucks a huge, huge pile of sandy water on the carpet. I, being smart, moved my feet rather quickly! (They were bare) I spent 1/2 hour cleaning that up. Just so you know, it's hard to clean wet sand out of a carpet. Good news, I think that she gets plenty of minerals in her diet!
P.S. Hi to Mom and Dad! They are now in AZ for the winter. I have your weather there saved. I am checking it out so I can see how hot it is! 94* That's hot!
For an old dog, Abby sure is determined to find those gofers. Her hearing and smell must be really good. What a dog.
ReplyDeletePeople who don't get dogs are wondering right now why you have a dog that tears up the yard, tracks mud all over your house and bed, and then pukes sand on the floor. Why? Why not get fish? Something a little less annoying. I get it though. Mine are pests but I love them.
