A good time was had by all.

I had a good time with my Aunt and Uncle in MN. My one cousin came up that day and stayed the night. We all played a game called marbles. IT was fun! I'm addicted to it. They had a hand made game board so I'm not sure it you can get this at Wal-Mart. My Aunt has the web site that I can go to and get one. I just might have to do that.

On Sunday my Aunt and I went to Church. It was my 1st time ever going to a Catholic Church. It was a very beautiful service. I stood when told, knelt when everybody else did and sat when they sat. And I knew one song so I sang.

Then my other cousin came with his wife and 3 of their 5 kids and boy friend. We had a total of 16 for dinner. It was good but also odd. I don't know my cousins that well. We only came down from AK to MN to visit every other year and only for a few weeks. They all have funny family stories that I don't know. They also have more knowledge of my Grandparents then I have as I didn't grow up around them. They took family pictures and I was trying to get out of them and they said to get back in the shot, I said that I wasn't family and I was told Yep, I sure am! It was nice, they all made me feel very welcome. I'm going to try and get over to MN more often and get to know that side of the family better.

My Uncle told some stories about my Dad. No blackmail type stories though. Bummer.

And yes they cooked just like my family, lots of food! Nobody left hungry.

  1. Sounds like you had a great time. You've given me a perspective I never had for when my distant family members would come for a visit. The stories we would tell they weren't here to experience first hand. I never saw it that way before. I'm glad they made you feel welcomed and part of the family.

  2. I'm glad you had a good time. It is hard not knowing family sometimes. I have a whole set of 1st cousins that I have never met and don't even know most of their names.

  3. I'm glad you went to visit your relatives for Easter.

Becca and I went to a Catholic Holy Saturday mass with my parents. We had lite candles, which was pretty.

I get the feeling the Easter meal was good by your description!

  4. I wish I could have been there too. So it was Bonnie you played games with? I thought we went to Catholic service once in St. Thomas, but mom can't remember it either, so maybe I went with someone else somewhere else and just have it in my mind that it was there.
