It was one of those days. By that I mean there was a soft gentle breeze, it was warm and I felt that the house needed a good inside scrubbing. I vacuumed all the floors and cracks and crevices and sucked up dead bugs and a few spiders. I swept all the floors and mopped them. Took all the floor rugs outside and beat the heck out of them and let them hang in the sunshine for a bit.
I then got busy with the tub. Being that I'm blind as a bat, I don't see how bad the tub is until I take a look at it with my glasses on. It was getting bad. I even took down the shower curtain and ran that through the washer with a little bleach. Which I now have some bleach spots on one of my favorite shirts! How I got bleach on top of the dryer where I then put a dark shirt down on it I have no ideal, but I did.
I do believe that I mixed my bleach with something that I shouldn't have, I have a little fume thing smell in my nose.
I think I will go take a nap now. You want to know why? Cause I can! And a nap after doing some deep cleaning feels like a reward to me.
Oh and Mom? I even dusted.

A nap does sound good right about now. I just had some salmon dip and cracker nothing as strenuous as you. :)
ReplyDeleteWe had our windows and doors open this weekend. I think we had our 2 days of summer. I still was wearing a sweatshirt and sweats while I cleaned the garage.
There's nothing like taking a nap when you've worked so hard cleaning. I hope you've enjoyed your hard-earned sleep. ;o)

ReplyDeleteI need a nap too but you know what happens at my house. I either hear fake snoring sounds (yes my dear sweetie makes fun of me!) or I get a pillow thrown at me. Either way, nap is not fun at my house.
I know what you mean about the tub. When I get in the shower I always have my glasses off and don't see how dirty it is. The other day I peeled back the curtain to hang up something over the rod and couldn't believe the ring in there.
