I cracked.

Wow! It's hot. Maybe not so much as hot ( but it is that too) but humid. I cracked. I was a wimp. It broke me. I was having a hard time getting to sleep last night as I was too hot. I was trying to find a cool spot in bed but I was unable too. I got up at 1am ish and turned on the A/C and in about an hour I was able to sleep. When I turned on the A/C the inside temp was 84. I turned it back off when I got up . A few hours before I went to work I turned it back on as I wanted the house to be cooler when I came home. About an hour before I left for work I saw that the temp in the house went from 78 up to 80. I went hum....I wonder why that happened. I listened and I could not hear the A/C running. The dirty R.B's at Dunn county turned off my A/C. I signed up for an $8.00 per month discount if I allowed them to turn it off during peak use. I guess they were having "peak"use. But hey, I save $8.00 bucks. When I got home the house was at 78 and getting cooler. I have it set to 74. I also have the fan going. Abby likes to lay in front of it. And as you all know, it's all about what Abby wants. ( That might have been some of the problem last night as Abby likes to lay up against me )

  1. I envy you because you have AC and can turn it on when you want. I don't have AC and I can only count on a nice breeze off the lake...which we haven't had in three days! The bathroom shower is my friend :)

  2. Ahhh, air conditioning. :)

The cats are even laying in front of the box fan lately, the lazy things.

So much for the afternoon of storms they predicted for today. :P

  3. I hate being too hot. Do you think I will survive my retirement in Missouri some day? I hear that as you get older you like the heat more...aren't Mom & Dad kind of turning into old people who like heat? Maybe I will too.

  4. We had ours blaring and it actually is a little cold in our TV room where the main window AC is, thus the blanket.

  5. I'd rather be hot than cold. No a/c at my house. Just ceiling fans and a few box fans.
