I'm so excited!

As you all know, I work at a library. My wonderful boss just told Kellie and I that she did order
the book by Karin Slaughter " Genesis " it's book 7 in the Grant series. ( No Mom, you can NOT read them! They are not MA ) We had the book magazine that it was in highlighted. Now it will be a fight between Kellie and I when it comes in on who gets to read it first. I think I should.

Then the 3rd book by Chelsea Cain " Evil at heart" will be out in September. Yeeeeee! ( No Mom you can NOT read this book or the other 2 it is not MA )

Also book 7 by Diana Gabaldon " Echo in the bone" will be out in September. ( Yes, Mom you can read this book. You have read the other 6 ) I have already put my name down on it with the library book request system. I'm number 15 on about 50 request. As word gets out there will be a lot more people requesting it, but I'm number 15!

I took the blanket off the patchouli soap this morning and brought it upstairs to cure for another 24 hours before I cut it. I was reading one of my soap books. What she has to say about patchouli was that either you love it or hate it. I am in the hate it camp. When I got home it smelled like the restroom at the Royal Roller Rink that I used to go roller skating as a kid up in Anchorage.

P.S. I can "take" Kellie in a fight any day with one hand tied behind my back! Now, if she has the book and takes off running? I wont be able to catch her. I will have to plot so I get it first.

  1. Maybe we'll have to toss a coin.

I don't really like that scent either.

  2. Wasn't patchouli one of your favorites when we were sniffing the cotton balls? I thought it was too strong and smelled like hippie people trying to cover the smell of pot. I thought you liked it. Maybe just not so strong?

  3. ummm...I wouldn't be so sure about winning that fight with Kellie. If I remember correctly there's a little story...

I can only think that the rest rooms at the roller rink probably smelled like that icky pine-sol smell. Patcholi can sometimes smell kinda good but only if you get a faint whiff of it, I think.

  4. Maybe cedar would be a better scent? Or sandalwood?
