Still a nice night.

Work was different tonight. The town that I work in had a big power outage and it knocked our library computers off line. We had to check out and receive books the old fashion way. We had to write down the patrons name and library card number and also the bar codes on the books. Tomorrow when the computers are up ( We hope) we will have to re-check them all in so the system can take them off inventory or put them back into inventory. Still, I have not had a bad day yet at the library.

On the way home it was nice. I had all the windows rolled down as it was still warm. A lot of the fields were being watered and you could smell green and wet dirt. It's a nice smell. Also a few hay fields had been cut so when you went by them you got that sweet grass smell. That's just not a smell you get up in Alaska. Also saw a few mama cows with their little calves nursing.

Even though it takes me about 25 minutes to go to and from work and I have been doing it for awhile. I still like the drive. I see something that delights me almost every time.

  3. What time does it get dark? I always thought it was so neat to be someplace that was both warm and dark at the same time. We're coming up to summer solstace so it's daylight for almost the whole 24 hours.

Didja get the birthdy package that I sent to you?...(yes I did send it out kinda late -June 6th)

  5. That is nice to enjoy your ride to work and back. I don't like driving much so I'm glad I'm only about 8-10 miles away, but I do enjoy the view of the rolling hills on the way there.
