New Stuff.

I had so much fun today when I vacuumed! I got a new vacuum cleaner yesterday. I just couldn't take the old one any more. I hated it so bad that I have not vacuumed in about 3 weeks and with breakup and a dog I really needed to clean. I went and got a Hoover Wind Tunnel. It is so so nice! It has self propelling wheels? I don't have to really push it forward, it just goes on it's own. And boy howdy does that bad boy suck of dirt and stuff. I had to empty the canister 3 times. When I moved into this house it had a new carpet. The old vacuum didn't suck up the lose carpet fluff. This new one does. Plus it picked up the dead bugs and string and dog hair.

The old one, when I would go to suck of dead bugs? It just would roll over them and break them up so then I would have bug wings laying about. (Asian beetles) And is that not a styling color? I'm itching to take her for another spin it was that much fun!

And then while the folks were here I got a new stove.
It's just a plain Jane model but it works. And that coffee can
on top of the stove? That's my toaster. Only the best kitchen appliances for me.

Also note the lack of snow in the first picture! It was 50 at my house today. I do think that spring has sprung.

  1. To go along with "Sunday Confessions" of yore, I absolutely love getting new vacuums. I love vacuuming for the first month after getting a new one, and then I'm over vacuuming until that one dies years down the line. I'm happy you have a new one! :)

And I have to ask - how does one toast bread in a coffee can on the stove top? Do you have a wire doo-dad inside like for campfire toast?

  2. The bottom of the coffee can has some holes in it and then on top there is a wire doo-dad ( good word that doo-dad ) It's my folks toaster that they use in the 5th wheel. They are letting me use it.

  3. I was wondering yesterday when I read your post about baking pies. I thought to myself, how can she bake pies with a bum oven. Ok, so the secret came out. I'm glad you got a new stove/oven.

  4. I'm back! I made toast using the coleman stove and wire toast holder. I'm going to post lots of cabin pics so brace yourself. Just remember, you have spring - I'm jealous of that. And you are going to have chickens.

  6. I so know what you mean about a vacuum. I too just got one last week and I've actually vacuumed every day, and I don't like to vacuum. It makes all the difference in the world when you have one that works. I never thought I'd get excited about a house hold appliance. Pathetic huh? Congrats on your knew appliances.
