No, I'm not naked but I'm feeling naked. My lap top is giving me fits. I'm here at the Library where I work posting this blog. The keys F2, E, D, and C will not work. I took it to the IT person and they reported that when the keyboard is out of the lap top all the keys work, when it's put back into the lap top, those keys short out. So it looks like a wiring problem. Their wire meter reader is not working but he has one at home so he will take my lap top home with him and see what's up.
I was/am hoping that its a easy fix. I have to go find my paperwork and see if I have a warranty and all that stuff. Normally I don't buy that stuff but it is less then a year old so I would think that it still is. The only thing is that I got it at Best Buy and to go there it's a hour drive one way. If the local IT guy can't fix then I will go to Best buy and play the real cranky upset costumer.
I wont know what to do tonight with out my computer. Good thing I have books. But then I always have books! I can already feel the withdrawals.

You have a very nice IT guy to look at your computer :) (I try to be that nice to my coworkers, but sometimes it's just not possible)
ReplyDeleteHopefully it's an easy fix!
Oh, AND, to tide you over if you have to take it to Best Buy - get an external keyboard and use that in the mean time.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with actually being naked. Maybe not such a great idea to do at your place of employment though. ;)
ReplyDeleteIf your IT guy doesn't have an answer, let me know. CP is a professional geek of the geekiest sort. He may have an idea.
Maybe there will be something good on TV, or be creative in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice out. I think I'll take a little walk after supper.
Hope your'e computer doesn't take too long. When you get used to being on it everyday it's hard to do with out.
I thought I left a comment on your soap blog, but it must have not gone through. My favorite is peppermint and rosemary - the soap lady you know makes that kind.
ReplyDeleteThat stinks about your laptop. I know what you mean about withdrawls. I never realize how much I rely on it until I don't have it for just one day. It's awful!
ReplyDeleteI was not addicted when I only had a desktop, now that I have a laptop I don't seem to do much but be on the internet. No much housework, laundry, cooking or the important stuff like my homework and Bible study. :(
ReplyDeleteOh Krissy, I laughed so hard when I read your comment about peppermint soap! And I agree completely....
ReplyDeleteI would be cranky without my laptop. Thank heavens you work at a library where you have access to lots of computers.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you will get your laptop back soon.
