Sure sign of spring.

You know how I can tell it's spring? Noop, not because the snow is gone, not because I see green grass. Also not because the really loud cranes were in the back corn field this morning making a racket. Those are not the reasons I know that it's spring.

How I know its spring is that I opened the back door today for my dog 25 times this morning!
OK, maybe not 25, more like 24. It was up,open door, shut door, sit down, hear bark, get up, open door, shut door, sit back down. Why can't my dog be happy? If I leave the door open she will lay in front of the open door and be happy, but then I'm not happy because I'm then heating the outdoors. ( What you do out of love huh?)

I'm going to go to my Aunt and Uncle's house for Easter. They live in MN. I will stay the night with them. It will be about a 4 hour road trip. Looking forward to it. It will be different, I will be with family but they will have different traditions then what I had as a kid. My Uncle and my Dad are brothers. I like it when my Uncle gives me the skinny on my Dad and spills the beans.

I hope and trust that you all will have a good Easter.

  1. :o) I so know what you mean about dogs wanting to go out all the time. Hunter, my Brittney Spaniel, is always in and out, in and out. Sometimes I wish he was able to open the door by himself. Shelby, on the other hand needs to be tied because she doesn't stick around like Hunter does, and she barks and barks and barks and barks (getting the picture?) at him because she can't reach him.

  2. Perhaps you need someone to install a doggy door? It would sure be easier than in and out and in and out. Tim makes Roxy stay out for an hour when she does that....until she starts barking.

  4. hmmm...my stupid cat is doing the same thing. Sure sign of spring. Funny how all the sudden she's "my" cat when both me and Jim are lounging around! But I will tell my potato couch self that it is indeed at least some form of exercise!
