Yippee Skippy!

My friend and I, and her daughter had a big day of shopping. We left her house at 9am and got back to her house at 1.30pm. We went to 5 stores. One of the stores we went to was Menard's. (Like a Home Depot) and she bought paint and I priced lumber for my chicken coop. The prices looked good to me.

We also went to SAM'S club. I bought some fruit! Pineapple all ready cut up and a big thing of strawberries. I am really trying to eat more fruit and veggies. I bought a bunch of celery the other day and cut it all up and have that ready to eat and I have been munching on that.

When I got home I had a mesg on the phone. That's where the Yippee Skippy comes in. Best Buy said that my computer was back and ready to pick up. So back to town where I was just at to pick it up. ( I am so so happy to have it back)

Being that I was back in the same area that Menard's was at, I deiced to go ahead and get the lumber that I needed for the chicken coop.

I got 12 2x4x6 and 6 2x4x7 ( I was going to get 8 ft lengths and cut off 12 in but they had 7ft lengths that were cheaper then the 8ft ones) and also I got 2 sheets of plywood. I asked if they would rip it for me but they don't have a saw big enough so I will have to rip my own. Good thing I have a skill saw. I will still have to get chicken wire. I got the plywood because one side of the coop will be sharing a wall with the goat pen and I don't want the goats messing with the chicken wire.

I got all the lumber put into the garage. Tomorrow after church I will make the chicken coop. It's supposed to rain so I figure that that will be a good project to do.

Wish me luck and I hope I don't cut off my fingers!

  1. That's great that your computer is ready. I so can't stand being without one. It's like being stranded, like when my car is in the shop and I can't go anywhere because I live a 15 minute drive from the nearest town with a store. Enjoy the returned freedom.
