I don't know what kind of shrub/tree that is. The leaves were yellow but now that have all turned green. Any ideal?
This is my freshly weeded and manured garden bed. And NO I wont be planting 5 types of cherry tomatoes. I learned from last year. I'm going to plant 2 big tomato plants, some zucchini and green beans. Maybe something else. Beets?
I think that this is a crab apple tree? Not sure. Last year when it was full of flowers we had that big big hail storm and it just stripped all the blossoms off. That was my very first scary storm. You can read that here.
Well, was it work a nickle? I didn't think so either. I will give you back your nickle.
Thanks for the tour. I think that first bush is a forsythia. Only yellow blossoms appear first and then after the flowers the leaves come. I really like those, we just planted some last year.
ReplyDeleteThe other looks like crab apple to me. I like them, they are so pretty and smell so good.
It was soooo worth the whole 25 cents! What a beautiful yard you have.
ReplyDeleteNot sure about the bush, but yes, that's a flowering crab apple tree. Our crab tree is just starting to bloom.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you had a raised garden!
very nice. I love flowering trees. Maybe you can make crab apple pies. What are we going to eat fresh from the farm when Tim and I come down?
ReplyDeleteI agree with crochetlady, I think the first one is a forsythia...very early blooomer of the season.
ReplyDeleteI miss them! They grow a lot of them on the Coast, but I haven't even seen one since I moved up here....they are always a sign to me that Spring is here!
